Aborigen Pinao presenta su nuevo logo el cual junto a su nombre, configuran el marco conceptual y estético de su propuesta. Al respecto la banda describe el logo de la siguiente manera:
1. Rostro con su adorno y el maquillaje de un Panche para la guerra tributo a Guimbales.
2. Collares y cinturones representan los adornos pinaos.
3. Extremidades superiores en forma de bogas o ijares.
4. Sellos panches por todo el cuerpo.
5. Forma y arte pre colombino tolimense.
Aborigen Pinao es una banda de thrash metal de la ciudad de Ibagué, Tolima integrada por el guitarrista Verdugo y el baterista/vocalista Lulumoy. Nace en el barrio Topacio de esta ciudad como continuidad de Lulumoy, otro proyecto al cual dan otro rumbo y aire con canciones inéditas. Desde julio del año 2014 Aborigen Pinao inicia su grito de guerra en la escena metalera de la ciudad, y presenta su música en diferentes eventos pequeños y grandes locales.
Es una banda encargada de representar la cultura pre colonial del Tolima por medio del metal utilizando este género como un medio para un fin específico: “rescatar la esencia del Orema aborigen”. Es la única banda de thrash metal de su ciudad y una de las pocas del metal a nivel nacional en tomar como tema principal las culturas aborígenes de esta región y sus tribus familiares basados en estudios antropológicos y literarios de investigadores nacionales como extranjeros.
En 2019 cambian su nombre a Aborigen Pinao debido a que se encuentran grabando su album y quieren ser únicos en la escena llevando con orgullo sus raíces ancestrales, por tal motivo se adhiere la palabra PINAO honrando al verdadero y único nombre de la tribu prehispánica de su territorio originario.
Porque el metal no son solo ideas.
