La portada en este posteo es la original, "sangrienta" luego prohibida y reemplazada por una portada "limpia", con dibujos de un ser humano similares a los libros de biología

Se utilizó exactamente la misma portada para Symphonies of Sickness, excepto con una combinación diferente de imágenes

En 2002/2003 se volvieron a colocar las cubiertas sangrientas

Reek of Putrefaction fue reeditado en CD por primera vez en 1989 por Earache Records: 

catálogo MOSH 18CD para versión sin censura

catálogo GMOSH 18CD para portada censurada

El CD 76:25 contenía tanto Symphonies of Sickness como el álbum Reek of Putrefaction, 

pero sin las pistas 5, 6, 8, 13, 19 y 21 de Reek of Putrefaction

Según Bill Steer, el ingeniero de sonido Mike Ivory arruinó por completo la grabación inicial, banda debió regrabar y rediseñar el álbum apresuradamente para cumplir con la fecha límite del sello

Cuando la grabación maestra se envió por primera vez a la planta de prensado, el LP de vinilo original debió prensarse a volúmenes más bajos, porque las frecuencias bajas eran muy bajas, a veces 25 Hz; con eso había riesgo de volver inaudibles a las frecuencias más altas
