We played "Not Today" at gigs starting in 1978 or so and this was a favorite by all of our friends who followed the band. All Force material had no real producers, no money, and any material you hear, except for the first 4 song EP, was taken from us without us knowing and slapped on records. The first EP was  250 copies for $1000 or so and we had no plan when recording it. So, it is truly "organic", "raw", "crude", whatever. Anything real good was accidental except the Force/Rat Salad stuff. Anything real bad was because we either had no clue, someone stole it and released it or we simply were not very good at that time.  All the material was assembled and released randomly and unknown to Larry, Simona and I. Even Al was caught by surprise on some of the releases I am sure.

Tocamos "Not Today" en conciertos a partir de 1978 más o menos y este era el favorito de todos nuestros amigos que seguían a la banda. Todo el material de Force no tenía productores reales, ni dinero, y cualquier material que escuchaste, a excepción del primer EP de 4 canciones, nos lo quitaron sin que lo supiéramos y lo incluyeron en los discos. El primer EP tenía 250 copias por $ 1000 aproximadamente y no teníamos ningún plan al grabarlo. Entonces, es verdaderamente "orgánico", "raw", "crudo", lo que sea. Cualquier cosa realmente buena era accidental, excepto las cosas de Force / Rat Salad. Algo realmente malo fue porque no teníamos ni idea, alguien lo robó y lo editó o simplemente no éramos muy buenos en ese momento. Er is Hoop tapes: Van U Wil Ik Zingen

I have already written some stuff about the tape label we once had and because of a Facebook post last week, my friend Ralf suggested to upload this compilation tape we once did with 3 local bands from Amersfoort.






‘Van U Wil Ik Zingen’ Another Dutch basement tape from Er Is Hoop, this one featuring three bands. TOTAL CHAOZ is a methadrine thrash group with a female singer; the PUKE is a messy, unformed punk band; and the ASPERITYS are basic punksters that do too many covers. OK for a first effort, but all these amateurish outfits were recorded a bit prematurely.

That’s how the first release on ‘Er Is Hoop’ tapes was reviewed in MRR.
When the Disturbers disbanded, Total Chaoz was the next band. At this time we found out there were more punk bands rehearsing at the same practise space and through graffitti, we started to make contact. Both the Puke and the Asperitys were not strictly from Amersfoort. members were from surrounding villages like Soest and Leusden too.

The Puke were more a ska band than straight on punk and the Asperitys mainly played cover songs by the, at that time, bigger punk bands such as the Exploited and U.K. Subs.

The Puke disbanded a short while later and the band members more or less dissapeared from the punk scene. The Asperitys started to write more and more song by themselves and were part of the first hardcore punk wave in the Netherlands. I think it is well known what happened with Total Chaoz.

I found these Music files on soulseek a long time ago. There was no artwork included, so this time it is just the music and I have no idea what the songtitles of the Puke are.

Película centrada en la gira de los Sex Pistols 1978 por los Estados Unidos, tras la cual el grupo se separó, la única en ese país durante aquel período. El director de cine, Lech Kowalski, los siguió con cámaras de mano de 16 milímetros a través de clubes y bares por siete ciudades del sur norteamericano. Al mezclarlo con imágenes de otras bandas contemporáneas, las tendencias en las capitales de la moda y los punks de todas las formas y colores, se creó una instantánea granulada y teñida de un movimiento en su apogeo, y cómo ciertas figuras autoritarias vieron el punk como una amenaza.

Presenta imágenes de entrevistas incluidas las de Sid Vicious y Nancy Spungen en la cama y tomas detrás de escena de la gira, también hablan miembros de la audiencia quienes manifiestan reacciones fuertes y muy variadas ante el grupo.

También incluyó otras actuaciones de los actos punk de la primera ola como The Dead Boys y Generation X con Billy Idol. 

El póster de la película aparece una escena de la película Vecinos de 1981. 

D.O.A. también apareció en The Filth and the Fury, una película de rock de 2000 sobre los Sex Pistols dirigida por Julien Temple, y en la serie de televisión de 2002 Hollywood Rocks the Movies: The 1970s.
