El Ex-Balneario Olímpico fue un lugar de culto donde se realizaron conciertos masivos legendarios, como la visita de The Ramones en 1992. Para este festival de 1994, los boletos se vendieron en puntos de reunión tradicionales de la cultura rockera en México, como el Tianguis del Chopo y tiendas como"Rock'n Roll Circus y Oliver's Rock en Ciudad Neza

Este cartel promociona el festival Monstruos del rock en español '94, este evento histórico reunió a grandes exponentes del heavy metal y rock urbano del habla castellana en la Ciudad de México. 

Se realizó el domingo 12 de junio de 1994 desde las 16:00 PM en el exBalneario Olímpico de Pantitlán, un recinto icónico para la escena punk y metalera de los años 90.

El cartel destaca a cuatro agrupaciones principales de tres países distintos: Ángeles del Infierno de España quienes en ese año promocionaban su disco A cara o cruz

Rata Blanca, de Argentina, considerada la banda de metal más emblemática de habla hispana

Transmetal, de México, participó por ser banda fundamental del metal extremo mexicano

El Haragán y Cía. de México, representantes clave del rock urbano nacional
