Este compilado es una pieza de culto para los coleccionistas, captura el nacimiento de leyendas, documenta la escena emergente de Nueva York, y presenta joyas del US power metal, como los de Virgin Steele y Cities... y posee una de las portadas más bizarras del género

Documenta los primeros pasos de Overkill, con una versión temprana de Feel the fire, grabada antes de convertirse en pilares del thrash, aún activa en 2026, con numerosos discos y una carrera sólida al punto de haber evolucionado hacia un thrash crossover y nunca lo dejó

Virgin Steele es otra de las bandas aún vivas, con numerosos discos y un sonido heavy power metal grandilocuente

Warhead, banda heavy metal de vida efímera, publicó apenas un demo en 1984 y un disco larga duración recién en 2026

Cities hacía heavy metal, alcanzó a grabar un disco en 1986 y como consta más arriba, su baterista fue AJ Pero, quien luego pasó a formar parte de Twisted Sister

Takashi formó parte de la primera escena del llamado US metal, en 1983 publicó un prometedor larga duración con críticas positivas, fue entrevistada para revistas del metal y abrió para Twisted Sister y Anthrax; también integró el sello Mongol horde, el cual publicó EPs de ésta y otras bandas como Thor y Virgin Steele, pero desapareció de la escena   

El heavy metal/hard rock de Teaser marca uno de sus poco registros aparte de un EP de 1981, de la cual desgraciadamente se conoce muy poco, incluso su nombre lo tienen otras bandas

Blacklace alcanzó a publicar dos discos antes de diluirse; publicó un Cd compilatorio después del 2000, pero no se sabe mucho de ellos

Deathslayer, fue otra formación sin mucho registro aparte de este compilado, solamente grabó sendos demos en los 80, y un recopilatorio en CD recién en 2022

Frigid Bich tampoco corrió con gran suerte, tiene un 7" y un par de recopilaciones después del 2000

Es un testimonio de cómo sonaba el metal subterráneo en Nueva York y Rochester justo antes de explotar el género comercialmente

La imagen de una dominatriz con un hombre en pañales y esposado es considerada una de las más extrañas y memorables de los años 8o

Este disco es la mejor de las dos recopilaciones editadas por sello Rockcity bajo este nombre
