Brazilian death metal powerhouse CRYPTA is preparing to return to the road with the Shades of Sorrow: Final Rites – European Summer Tour 2026, bringing the band's intense live energy to audiences across Europe.

The tour will see CRYPTA travel throughout the continent for more than two months, performing at major festivals and headline shows in multiple countries. It is set to be one of the band's biggest touring runs of 2026.

Kicking Off in Germany

The tour begins on June 5, 2026, at Rage Against Racism Open Air in Duisburg, Germany. From there, CRYPTA will continue their journey across Europe, performing for metal fans throughout the summer season.

The schedule includes appearances at some of the most recognized festivals on the European metal circuit.

Major Festival Appearances

One of the highlights of the tour will be CRYPTA's appearance at Hellfest in France on June 19, 2026. Widely regarded as one of the world's premier metal festivals, Hellfest continues to attract some of the biggest names in heavy music.

The band is also scheduled to perform at Rockharz Open Air in Germany on July 4, 2026, sharing the stage with a diverse lineup of international rock and metal acts.

These festival appearances further highlight CRYPTA's growing presence within the global metal scene.

Touring Across Europe Until August

Throughout the tour, CRYPTA will visit countries including Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Austria, Ireland, and several others.

The extensive run will conclude on August 15, 2026, in London, marking the final stop of their European summer campaign.

Continuing the Shades of Sorrow Era

The Final Rites tour serves as another chapter in the ongoing journey of CRYPTA's acclaimed album Shades of Sorrow, which has taken the band to stages around the world since its release.

Yo era del back stage, no una groupie, la droga abría puertas, quizá algún que otro camerino. Somos épocas. El tiempo comiendo de las cucuzzas. Estoy hablando de los ochenta, pura merca. Fui stage con Los Romeos, plomo, me contrataron una noche en El Dragón del abasto. Ahí conocí al Cabra. A PIl Trafa. Ya era amigo de Fidel y del Bahiano. Montonazo de rock era eso, aún sin pegarla. A Soda la vi soporte de los Abuelos. Los ochenta, saliendo de la dictadura.

Trabajaba de stage manager con una banda que hacía covers en fiestas de nivel, mucha guita, y le cabí al manager por ser yo, él también era representante de Miguel Mateos. Los Romeos tenían un hit que se llamaba “Basura” y de repente estaba en una fiesta de Página 12 armando todo el stage, la batería tenía once cuerpos, no me olvido más..

Siempre ser una es todo. Me dieron la dire para una fecha en Chacabuco, ellos estaban en Quilmes. El asunto se complicó cuando caí de gira a Quilmes este y la dire era de Quilmes oeste. En esa época existían las remiserias, y los teléfonos de línea. Llamo, me dicen “que te traigan”. Llegué y ya habían cargado todo, el líder me dijo, “encima caes de gira, anda a dormir”. Me tiré en las literas del micro.

Me despiertan. Ahora sí, bajá todo y armá. Ok.

Voy yendo por el bondi, y entonces lo vi, Rinaldo Rafanelli, mi ídolo desde Sui Generis, sentado en las mesitas del bondi con un wiski. Era el bajista. Le dije, loviu. No voy a contar más. Salió todo bien, me pagaron de más… por tanto.

Fui rock, uno de Tarzen, la banda que Pappo armó en estados unidos, me lo escribió en la capocha, “vos sos rock”, en el Halley de av. corrientes. Así también un español de metro noventa y cinco que me decía “tu eres un poeta” yo ni siquiera era rey larva, tenía veinte y pico. Y las rayas que me peinaba Miguel Abuelo, y cruzarme con Luca, mi dios en esos tiempos de Malvinas, sentirme al derecho, y convidarle un saque a Skay, y tanto rock, tanto. Pero nunca, nunca me crucé al Indio, suponía que era imposible. Una vez en un reci debajo de la autopista allá por floresta, o no sé, lo vi salir y vi un fantasma.

No sé porque escribo sobre su partida, cuando se fue Luca me regaló una pitada en dónde una vez nos cruzamos. Imaginen, yo con capos rusos en un bar del centro, y entra. Con la alemana hermosa, su compa. Cómo la vez que estuve con Charly Garcia, no piden, les sirven. Se tomó la medida de ginebra y se quedó mirandomé. Qué le decís a tu dios, nada, lo mirás. Le pasan la droga y le pregunta el barman, adónde vas? A un show a avellaneda. Él fue mi más, ahora estoy sintiendo como que sí. No es morirse, es otra dimensión. Otro lugar, para mí mejor. Y entonces sí, siento al Indio. Porque estoy escribiendo para decir que somos rock, y qué el mundo es redondo y de ricota. A Willy Crook le negaba en villa gesell una mezcalina hasta que se la regalé, estaba con una amiga, Acó. Con Gamexane nos tomamos altos tarjetasos no sé en dónde. El rock, mi gente, el rock. Hablo de gente que ya no está para no escrachar. Adrián Otero me firmó un autógrafo que decía beso en el cuello. El Bocha Sokol me regaló una Quilmes llena.

Hay tanto rock vivo, así que hasta acá llego, con un final en un taxi con no sé cömo carajo se llamaba pero era la compa de Javier Martinez, y nada. Somos rock.

Es una religión, el rock es una religión. Por eso sé que hay otra dimensión. Así que trankis. Nos vemos…
